There are plenty of attractions locally and a short trip up the road is Colchester - Britains oldest recorded town which is great for shopping and also has Colchester Castle and Victorian Park, Colchester Leisure World and Bowling Alley. Children can play at Go Bananas and Adventureland indoor play centres. There is also a fabulous zoo at Colchester.
Jimmy's Farm as seen on TV is only a short drive away and a great day out. Also very close by is Beth Chatto Gardens.
